A reply that agreed on the first part of the article, but countered the second part of the article, was published in the magazine Syre on September 5th. The reply was signed by more than eighty representatives for different parts of the Swedish peace, environmental and feminist movement.

All representatives agreed with Åsa Linderborg on the critique of the ongoing militarization of and by Sweden, but they did not agreed on the second statement, i.e. that the Sweden doesn´t have a peace movement. On the contrary, the peace movement is growing due to the mobilization of people and movements, and it gathers around a number of concerns.

One of the signatories of the reply, was the founder and chair of the board of Another Development Foundation, Ingvar Rönnbäck.
