A Memorandum of Understanding between Another Development Foundation and CASDA – Cooperation Arena for Sustainable Development in Africa is now signed by Ingvar Rönnbäck, Chair of the Board for Another Development Foundation and Yvonne Anyango (on the photo), Executive Director for CASDA April 17th, 2018.  This is the agreement between the organizations:

Another Development Foundation and Cooperation Arena for Sustainable Development in Africa – CASDA, have through its members of the board, chair and executive director worked together for a long period of time in various collaborations between Swedish and international partners. The partnership started before the registration of both organizations and has evolved to a professional partnership with many positive outcomes. Through this work and relation, the partners have discovered similarities in terms of identity, orientation and will of the organizations.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Another Development Foundation, Sweden and CASDA, Kenya is a result of the long partnership on a personal and professional level between representatives from the organizations, and expresses a convergence of will between the parties, indicating an intended common line of action. The MoU expresses a will between the parties to take the next step in this partnership, supporting each other being relevant, professional organizations with integrity in the work for local and global sustainability. The MoU also expresses a will between the parties being partners who support people, movements and organizations in Sweden, Kenya and elsewhere through different methods; analysis, facilitation, advise and counseling, supporting network development, new partnerships etc. Central areas of collaboration for both parties to explore and work on are:

  • Gatherings of like-minded people, movements and organizations in Kenya on regular basis from especially East Africa for the purpose of peer and strategical support
  • Collaboration in the international platform provided by Another Development Foundation, i.e. international meetings in Sweden were parties in the network support each other as peers
  • Collaboration on outreach, advocacy and development project for peace, freedom from violence, social justice and inclusion, human rights, women´s rights, gender equality and sustainable development
  • Identify people and organizations who can participate in the activities and projects managed by the parties
