Keri Facer is Zennström Professor in Climate Change Leadership at Uppsala University and Professor of Educational and Social Futures at the University of Bristol. Her work focuses on the forms of knowledge and educational practices needed to create flourishing communities in conditions of disruptive technological and environmental change. She has a particular interest in informal learning in cities and communities and the role of the arts, myth and storytelling as powerful educational resources. From 2002-2008 she was Research Director for Futurelab, the UK’s R&D lab for education; from 2007-2009 she headed the UK Government’s Beyond Current Horizons Applied Foresight Initiative; from 2012-2018 she was Leadership Fellow for the Arts and Humanities Research Council Connected Communities Programme, a 400M SEK investment in university-community collaborations.
