Another Development Foundation hosted representatives from Gunungkidul Regency in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Center for Rural Medicine in Västerbotten working for equitable health in the framework of a partnership funded by Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD). The talk was held in The City of Umeå September 20th, 2017 with a focus on the relation between another development as a need and vision, and on how work for equitable health can promote sustainable development. Special attention was on challenges, practices and opportunities in Indonesia as well as on positive examples of collaboration and community development. The invited group were Mr. Drajad Ruswandono, district secretary, represent of the mayor of Yogyakarta, Mr. Heri Kriswanto Suwardoyo, head of welfare commission, Mr. Purnamajaya Soetarno, officer for communication and informatics, Mrs. Dewi Irawaty, officer at the health office, Mrs. Noor Faizah, officer for human resource, education and training office, Lutfan Lazuardi, professor at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta and Åsa Holmner, researcher and teacher at Umeå University, program manager at Center for Rural Medicine, County Council of Västerbotten.
